Power Yoga (heated) – Intermediate class
Baptiste Yoga is a strong vinyasa practice, taught in a heated space (max 30 degrees), incorporating meditation through connection to the breath as you flow and self-inquiry, creating a platform for transformation both on and off your mat.
Physically Power Yoga builds strength, stamina, and tone. Mentally, it can challenge your perceptions of what’s possible and encourage new, positive ways of thinking and being. Anything is possible if you’re open to the possibility.
Baptiste Power Yoga follows a sequence – Journey into Power; a blueprint from which to expand and grow. Yoga should be playful, explorative, and fun. No two classes are the same as your practice is constantly evolving.
* Please note this class is for yogis with some experience. If you are a beginner join us for Power Basics to experience this transformational practice!
Learn the foundations of Baptiste Power Yoga. In these classes we strip the practice back to bare basics and learn the principles of alignment, posture and flow. Whether you’re a complete beginner or regular yogi looking to gain new insights and tools for your practice, this class will increase your confidence.
Shorter Baptiste Yoga inspired yoga class, which moves through a dynamic, breath-filled sequence of poses, awakening the body, creating energy and calming the mind. Includes key parts of Journey Into Power flow and condenses the full experience into a compact 45 minutes.
Powerful and sculpting full body work-out that combines yoga with other mat work. The use of light weights, resistance bands and props (all available in your own home) is optional but can add to your practice. Core Yoga is a series of exercises that strengthen and challenge your whole body in short bursts. It will contribute towards regular yoga practice giving you the next level of strength. It is an experience that leaves you buzzing with endorphins and a sense of uumph in your muscles. Expect to work, sweat, and be energised before enjoying a deep stretch to finish!
Hatha and Slow Flow
Most yoga styles are derivatives of Hatha, making it an ideal place to start your yoga journey. Hatha yoga focuses on posture, alignment and breath awareness – stilling the mind and restoring balance. Classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. Postures focus on strengthening (back, pelvic floor, core), stability (balance) and flexibility. Relaxation, mindfulness and meditation are also an integral part of every class.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time, from between 2 and 5 minutes. These poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, Yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. Poses can be challenging, and each yogi is encouraged to find and work to their own edge.
Hatha Vinyasa (Slow Flow)
The perfect combination of Yin and Yang. Ideal for those yogis who like a slower paced vinyasa. Combining a mindful flow with calming stretches. Hatha Vinyasa classes start with poses to create strength and awaken energy throughout the body, followed by longer restorative stretches that calm your whole being.
Expect to connect to your inner strength and vitality whilst experiencing a relaxed flow at the same time.
Pre-natal and Post-natal Yoga
Pregnancy is an exciting time but also one of huge change. Pregnancy yoga offers the opportunity to take time out from everyday life to slow down and focus on you and your baby.
Pip combines her knowledge as an advanced antenatal teacher with her pregnancy yoga training to link theory with practice to help you prepare for baby’s arrival, whatever birth you are planning.
Classes focus on breathing, relaxation and movement to support the changing needs of the pregnant body, relieving common pregnancy discomforts, keeping the body mobile, active and strong for birth. Postures and movements are adapted to individual needs, including those requiring modifications – pelvic pain, backache, high risk pregnancies, etc. Classes are suitable from 12 weeks to birth.
Pip is also trained in aromatherapy for pregnancy, pregnancy massage and clinical hypnosis for childbirth, which she weaves into classes where appropriate.
Mum & Baby Yoga Courses
Combining mummy and baby yoga, this class focuses on supporting the needs of new mums as their bodies heal and regain strength, whilst stimulating baby’s development through gentle yoga moves. Postures concentrate on key areas that may need a little extra TLC – pelvic floor, back, and abdominals as well as areas that hold tension and tightness, such as shoulders and neck. Babies are very much a part of the class and we incorporate baby yoga moves, songs, and massage. Every class includes relaxation techniques, breathing, and mindfulness. It’s a fun way to enjoy an hour of movement, play, and relaxation together.
